Set up ad platforms

Platforms are configured on the Destinations tab of the Tracking page. Changes take effect immediately — no redeploy of your storefront.

PlatformNeedsWhere to find it
MetaDataset (Pixel) ID, Conversions API access token, optional Test event codeEvents Manager → your dataset → Settings → Conversions API → Generate access token
Google Analytics 4Measurement ID (G-…), Measurement Protocol API secretAdmin → Data streams → your web stream → Measurement Protocol API secrets
TikTokPixel code, Events API access token, optional Test event codeEvents Manager → your web pixel → Settings → Events API → Generate access token
RedditPixel ID, Conversion access token, optional Test IDEvents Manager → Conversions API → Generate access token

Tokens are stored with your store and only the last four characters are ever shown. After saving, use Test connection to check the credentials work.

With a test code set, that platform’s events go only to its test tool and never to live data. Use it for acceptance:

  • Meta: Events Manager → Test Events, where one event should appear as Browser and Server and deduplicate into one;
  • TikTok / Reddit: their own test tools;
  • GA4: DebugView.

Clear the test code when you’re done, or nothing reaches your live reports.

  • Browser pixels + Conversions APIs (default): both, with one event id, so platforms deduplicate. The browser send carries each platform’s own cookies; the server send carries the buyer’s IP, user agent and hashed customer details, which matches better.
  • Conversions APIs only: turn off Browser pixels in Settings. No third-party scripts load on your storefront and no CSP change is needed. The trade-off is losing the browser-side matching signals.
  • Meta: standard events such as page view, product view, add to cart, initiate checkout and purchase, with content_ids, value and currency.
  • GA4: regular events from the browser; the server adds purchases only, deduplicated by transaction_id.
  • TikTok and Reddit: their standard events plus purchases.

The mapping lives on Gosper’s servers, so changing it never means redeploying or re-pasting a pixel.

Enter your Meta ad account ID (the number after act_) in Settings and Gosper imports the last few days of spend each day for the ROAS column in attribution. The Meta token you saved needs ads_read on that ad account. Spend import for Google and TikTok isn’t available yet.
